music supplied via PodShow Artist - Tara Lee Cobble Track 1 - I Wonder Buy the music from CDBaby Info Southern-born, New York City-based Tara Leigh Cobble has spent the past eight years building an indie empire, and it runs as fast and direct as a subway train. This spring she announces the release of a new book and album within months of each other. Crowded Skies: Letters to Manhattan is the follow-up to her first book, Here’s to Hindsight: Letters to My Former Self (RELEVANT), a spiritual memoir which prompted reviewers to hail her as “the female Donald Miller.” This summer, she released her sixth album, Playing Favorites. TLC’s albums feature many of her friends and influences: Matt Wertz, Dave Barnes, Brandon Heath, Josh Wilson, Kemper Crabb, and members of Caedmon’s Call. As if that weren’t enough, the trifecta of noteworthy magazines for 20- and 30-somethings, RELEVANT, RELEVANT Leader, and Radiant regularly feature her articles. Last year found her contributing to The Voice (Thomas Nelson), The One Year Life Verse Devotional (Tyndale), and Songs From The Voice, Vol. II: Son of the Most High. Whether playing, leading worship, or speaking at a conference, TLC has a phenomenal ability to disarm any audience with her quick wit and engaging stage presence. She casts a lasting impression amongst fans and critics alike and has participated in 1,700+ events for singles, college students, women’s groups, and youth groups across 42 states. And she’s only just begun. new social network as gaeilge - AnLionra 2008 Internation Year of the Potato

music supplied by IodaPromonet Group - Dandi Wind Track 1 - Balloon Factory Info Much has been made of the Dandi Wind live experience, whose legend has been growing with every show. The sheer wall-climbing, feral physicality of Dandi’s stage performance, in lockstep with keyboardist/programmer Szam’s (and recently added live drummer Evan’s) relentless playing, can belie the fact that their show is startlingly tight for something seemingly on the verge of utter chaos. During recent touring with fellow infamous club-destroyers such as Les Georges Leningrad, Klaxons, Justice, Broken Social Scene and Erase Errata, the trio of Dandi Wind threatened to tear the roof off of every venue with impunity, often outshining their better-known compatriots, and all without a hint of irony. That blood is real blood, and possibly your blood. Authentic! Dandi Wind’s debut full-length Concrete Igloo, originally self-released in a highly limited run to a quick sell-out, has now been reissued on Summer Lovers Unlimited in enhanced CD format, with stark, jaw-dropping design and ten music videos. As with the Dandi Wind live show, this album is a truly cohesive cross-media assault. The jarring, icy imagery of Dandi’s design is mirrored perfectly in Concrete Igloo’s sound - a fierce, claustrophobic collision of genre, meme, and modern-age mania. Songs like “Pluck It Out” and “Apotemnophilia” speak of perverse urges to escape the strictures of the human body (the latter song being the clinical term for the urge to self-amputate) yet are intensely rhythmic and danceable. Dandi’s vocals throughout are, by turns, animalistically gutteral and unnervingly slight, riding on Szam’s onrushing sheets of synth. On crowd favorites like “Balloon Factory,” absurdist vignettes are played out in the form of fractured playground chant and narrative. Songs like “Einsteinbrains” speak of human interaction but do so with a frenetic detachment from reality, in perfect keeping with our increasingly depersonalized times. The group playfully refers to itself as “post no-wave”, but it’s rather more fitting to categorize Dandi Wind as post-civilization. (Coming soon.) music supplied by PodSafeAudio Group - Divisible Track 1 - Fire in a Hospital Alchemy EP out July 25th see website for details Info Divisible has been an ever-changing entity since its birth in February 2004. Through several incarnations, however, one thing has remained constant: the strength of the band's emotional core. The music has always been moody, atmospheric, and accessible. With the current line-up (Shola on guitar/vocals, Albert on drums, Jaysson on bass), the band has a solid and promising history. After recording their first demo in the confines of their rehearsal room, it was apparent Divisible had developed their own sound. Bryan Cook (Gary Jules, Michael Andrews) agreed to mix the three songs and ready it for release. Drawing local attention by handing out their 3-song demo, Divisible garnered interest from local A&R website Buzzplay.com (featured band), Filter Magazine (pick of the week), and ABC Television. Writing new songs and performing around Los Angeles, the band is currently finalizing their first official release, the Alchemy EP due out July 25th. new Irish language social network - AnLionra 2008 Internation Year of the Potato

music supplied by PodSafeAudio artist - Meagin Donovan Track 1 - Brainwashed Buy the music from CdBaby Bio Singer/songwriter, Meagin Donovans charged, percussive, yet technically intricate acoustic guitar work and passionate singing seems effortless, and her energy, endless. Born in Noblesville, Indiana, Meagin has called the Pacific Northwest her home for years. One day in college, something inside Meagin caused her to pick up the acoustic guitar. Since then everything has made more sense. Completely self-taught, Meagins style is uninhibited, describing the process of writing as easy because, All six strings are friends. You just have to find out what theyre saying together. New to the music scene, Meagin has only played acoustic guitar for five years. And, although she is new to Seattle she has gigged all over western Washington. Shes played at: hopvine pub, Galway arms, Ballard firehouse, Black box which was a show sponsored by The University of Washington radio station, KEXP, the showbox greenroom, and many others. She has also gigged in Tacoma and Olympia. She writes relentlessly; her all-original sets can run up to two hours. With the recent addition of hand drums, Meagins demo ranges from introspective, to daring and raw. Meagins commitment to improvisation and live performance are evident at her shows and on her demo. Meagins unique songwriting and powerful, rocking guitar playing, along with awesome timing of the hand drums creates a sound that is different than anything out there right now. Meagin Donovan tells the truth, as she knows it . . . the unedited version. Audiences feel the emotions of each song in a very real way when Meagin sings and jams on the guitar. Meagin Donovan is reaching out to all people who want to rock out because everyone gets something from her music. Constantly writing, Meagin feels obligated to empower her audience, encouraging them to be free in her music. She is an independent artist with one hell of a work ethic and she will not stop working until her music is heard. Just starting out, Meagin is ready. social network in Irish - AnLionra 2008 Internation Year of the Potato

Those songs have a further particularity. Most of all are recorded with singers or musicians I’ve never met. I write all the music and most of the lyrics but singer’s parts or guitar’s part for example are sent to me through mail. And I mix all the tracks, mine and the others here in Le Pre Saint Gervais, near Paris.

music supplied by PodShow Artist - Laura Lambert Track 1 - I Need the Rain Info Laura Lambert Pop rock soul artist Laura Lambert focuses on crafting songs that speak to the heart and leave listeners hungy for more. Along with her producers/co-writers, Vinnie and Janice Zummo, Lambert works at each song, imbuing it with her personality. Truth is vital to Lambert's work. To hear her music is to feel her ideas and understand their importance to her ... and Lambert hopes that they will become important to the listener, as well. Alive Music is the good version of Dr. Frankenstein. It makes you, the listener, feel alive vicariously through the passion of the artist. “Music makes me feel comforted, inspired, hopeful, not alone, connected. It’s really what keeps me going.” Music is food; it is sustenance that helps keep the world spinning. It shines light in corners and makes us all better people. With this in mind, Lambert strives to write songs that inspire and motivate. She wants to entertain but she also wants to explore herself through music and help others do the same. Medicine Music is a healer. Its melodies and words bring healing and catharsis. Lambert's goal is for her music to be a step in that direction. Her simple desire is to create art that offers pleasure and fun to listeners but also offers hope and healing. “Music, in all forms, is medicine for our souls. That is what makes it so universal. It has the power to pick us up in our darkest hour, plant seeds of hope and inspiration in our hearts and lift us up into the light. Music is my oxygen, the air I breathe; it’s what keeps me alive!” AnLionra - new social network in Irish 2008 Internation Year of the Potato

music found on PodSafeAudio Artist - Ruby Shuz Track 1 - Bitter Info Singer/songwriter Jessie McKenna began singing along to her mom's Suzanne Vega tapes at four and wrote her first song, now lost to history, at six. By age thirteen, Jessie had an electric bass she played like a rhythm instrument, and began writing what would become a catalog of dozens of thoughtful, melodic rock songs ranging from lighthearted to darkly beautiful, sometimes within the same song. In the summer of 2002, Jessie put together a band in an attempt to bring her songs to life, ans soon after, Jessie's mom, Marti McKenna, joined the group on backing vocals. By the summer of 2003 the band prepared to go into the studio for the first time. Performing as Jessie McKenna and Her Band (JMaHB), the lineup included Ricochet Biscuit members Ric Neil, Brian Ochs, and Evan Middlesworth, and produced the Deluded EP (recorded at Hype Schwartz). In January of 2004 the McKenna girls split off to perform as an acoustic act. They became Ruby Shuz in July of 2004. Bassist Brandon Koeller joined the band in the summer of 2005, bringing a spirit and enthusiasm that, along with his solid bass lines, fuels the band's fire on stage. Soon after joining the band, Brandon brought drummer Ben Anderson into the mix. A member of the Seattle Seahawks Drumline, Ben's dynamic beats and humor drive the music and stir the band's chemistry during every performance. In early 2006, Andrew Benton joined the band on lead guitars. Today, his guitar work is an integral part of each Ruby Shuz song. music supplied by ArielPublicity Group - Black Fortress of Opium Track 1 - Model Cafe Buy the CD from CDBaby Info Upon hearing them, one would never guess Black Fortress of Opium's origin took place in Boston. The band's self-titled debut album is a darkly beautiful record containing songs ranging from moody, brooding rock tunes to soulful, bluesy numbers, along with a cinematic Dead Can Dance-like soundscape and a Mazzy Star-like country tune. Uniting In 2006, Ajda the Turkish Queen was working as a solo musician, composing songs on mandolin, guitar, banjo, and keys, and a cappella melodies. Ajda decided to give the full band approach another go-round, and subsequently met up with Tony Savarino, a masterful guitar player consistently in demand around Boston due to his versatility, love of boutique gear, and attention to detail. The two bonded over a love for PJ Harvey's albums, samurai culture, and physical fitness - all three of which center around personal strength.

music supplied by ArielPublicity Group - Twilight Dementia Track 1 - Lullaby Buy the CD from CDBaby Info Twilight Dementia’s music is a testament to the strength of partnership and that the whole is often much more than the sum of its parts. Their debut, self-titled album, Twilight Dementia, is a bold and daring statement of purpose that demonstrates the group’s unwillingness to play anyone’s game other than their own. The Washington D.C. based duo’s engrossingly atmospheric and ethereal rock is the product of a duo that seemed destined to find each other. Formed in 2006, Twilight Dementia is comprised of Jennifer Mendiola on vocals and John Krauss on guitars, bass, keyboards and programming. “When we first met at the studio, we hit it off immediately,” recalls Jennifer. “Although our musical influences were not identical, our philosophy of music was the same.” Those wide-ranging influences include Lunascape, Evanescence, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Portishead, and Pink Floyd, among others. Jennifer adds, “Besides, when I first heard John play guitar, I remember thinking, I need to be in a band with this guy.” Conversely, John also relates that after working on their first song together, and hearing Jennifer’s vocal approach, he too, knew he wanted to keep writing songs with her. Seeing the possibilities in the immediacy of their chemistry, the two began meeting several times a week to write and experiment, always at twilight. Thus, Twilight Dementia was born. 2008 Internation Year of the Potato New Irish Language social network - AnLionra

music supplied by ArielPublicity Artist - Donna Lewis Track 1 - Don't Ever Buy the CD from Amazon Info After a long hiatus during which she raised a family, Multi-platinum recording artist Donna Lewis will finally return with her first proper studio album in a decade with the release of In The Pink on April 8, 2008. Featuring the first single "Shout," Donna's eleven new tracks seem to pick up right where she left off. Her overly acute sense of pop sensibility remains firmly intact while simultaneously gravitating towards the newer sounds of bands such as Zero 7 and Hooverphonic. “I didn't plan on being away for this long,” Lewis commented. “After Blue Planet, I had the opportunity to work on some great collaborative projects which I found really interesting and enjoyable. Then I did something I had always wanted to do, record an acoustic album, Be Still which I just put out on my website. I had a baby in 2003 and decided to take a complete break to be a hands on mum - I wouldn't change anything about that time, it has been incredible sharing his first few years....” At the end of 1993 she came to the attention of Atlantic Records and so impressed Chairman Doug Morris that he flew her out to New York from her native Cardiff, Wales to meet her personally - and offered her a recording deal on the spot! 2008 Internation Year of the Potato New Irish Language Social Network AnLionra
