Intimate, hopeful and wistful; Paula Toledo dreams out loud, poignant melodic-pop/folk songs that weave through life's optimistic restlessness while capturing the innocence of its ripened discoveries. Just short of 2 months after releasing her debut album, 'Stay Awhile' was selected by CBC Radio One's 'Freestyle' program as album of the week. Nationally broadcast on radio and world-wide via the internet, 'Stay Awhile' has found its home with music lovers who are calling it 'an unassuming gem of an album' (sceneandheard.com), 'truly affecting' (CKUT), 'timeless....honest, pure and passionate' (Hallandsposten Daily). 

 One may call it happenstance that only four years prior, after reaching a state of disillusionment in her life, she would be called back into the world of music & travel to France on more than one occasion. "It was a real turning point in my life. I literally quit my desk-job with nothing else waiting in the wings. I felt so lifeless...so," she laughs, "I took to painting my walls." During the menial task of painting, Paula's voice was heard through the walls of her apartment by neighbors who happened to be French singer/songwriters. In search for a back-up singer, they were intrigued. When they learned that Paula also spoke French, they enlisted her for their French tour.

One could say that happenstance and Paula would meet once again, recently to finish recording & mixing her debut album Stay Awhile in France with Irish producer and ex-Frames guitarist David Odlum (The Frames, Josh Ritter, Gemma Hayes). But upon closer inspection, one will notice a woman who is drawn to discovering and creating all things new.

ANEMO began life in September 2002 when Kingsley Sage was auditioning singers for a song writing and recording project. The results had been universally disappointing (to put it mildly), until at the 11th hour a former actress and talented vocalist called Hazelle Woodhurst entered the picture. The two immediately got on well, with their shared love of different types of music and, of course, a good English cup of tea. The two set to work on penning a number of songs that would later become the basis of the ANEMO's first album. They decided that the project needed a rock edge, and to that end guitarist Matt Palmer was added to the mix.

After countless evenings at the band's basement studio in Brighton, the three had amassed an impressive collection of pop-meets-rock-meets-electronica tracks. At this point, the group took on the name ANEMO a word that means "changing forms", to reflect the blend of styles and influences that was brought to the music. The strong vocal melodies and distinctive style caught the attention of Trebor Lloyd, CEO of New York-based upcoming independent record label, City Canyons. In summer 2005 ANEMO signed a 3 album record contract and began to record the final tracks for their first album

Bio

A Band Called Quinn was formed when singer/songwriter Louise Quinn met drummer Bal Cooke whilst busking on the streets of Toulouse after running away from convent school. With Bal, she produced music using computer and pieces of bark.

The line up of the band was completed by bassist Steven Westwater, a promising footballer whose career at Preston North End was tragically cut short by a cartilage shortcoming; and trumpetist Robert Henderson - heir to the family forune of a well-known Scottish confectionery company; whose independent means have allowed him to devote his life to studying bebop and growing facial hair.

Artist History

Since the release of her debut album Let the Candle Burn in late 2000, Natalie has performed at venues throughout North America, remained in the top 10 on the Internet's most recognized charts and gained a loyal following of fans. Her single "Run Away" was featured with songs from Major label artists in Promo-Only's Rhythm Radio series. Natalie's songs have been played via online and commercial radio world-wide. Billboard notes her as one of the Top 10 Emerging Talents. Music from her debut has been licensed to Film & TV (NBC, Paramount Pictures, VH1, MTV) and international companies (Colgate-Palmolive) for commercial spots. 'Confused' was an honorable mention song in the 2001 Billboard Song contest and 'Let The Candle Burn' won the Just Plain Folks Music Award for Best R&B Song of 2001. The album was runner-up for JPF's Best R&B Album 2001.

After taking some time off from touring to rest, Natalie returned to the studio to record the 2003 Holiday album entitled "A Cool Christmas", a 10 song Cool R&B/Pop influenced collection of Holiday favorites.

Much to the delight of fans eagerly awaiting new material, Spring 2004 saw the US release of Natalie's singles 'I Wonder' and 'Queen of Me'. The songs garnered tremendous attention and In July 2004, 'Queen of Me' was released by Avex, Inc. Japan on the "Soul Essentials 7" series with songs by Rahsaan Patterson, Earth, Wind & Fire and others. This confirmed Natalie's wide appeal and set the stage for an exciting international career.

Natalie is currently working on her second album of original material.

POTION 13,  Independent band from Montréal, Québec. (Heavy Metal/Hard Rock)

   The band is: Danielle Langlois (vocals), Brian Harps (guitar) and Sandro Fasano (drums) Yannick Chassay (bass).

   Potion 13   started in the year 2002.. The first album "Porte-bonheur" (lucky charm) came out in november 2002. It was recorded at Media Musique studio in Montréal. Since then:

   More than 65 appearences on television of our show (recorded nov. 2005) at the Métropolis.

   More than 250 radio shows have played our songs. More than 300 websites host an artist page for our band, more than 350 host our MP3, so many have a link towards potion13.org, all that leaded to over 1,000,000 downloads of our mp3, all over the net, all over the globe.

   Our songs were on  more than 100 charts grabbing position #1 on many of them.
