SpudShow 89 Artist - Edwina Hayes Track 1 - Eyes of a Stranger Track 2 - Want you to say Bio Edwina Hayes is a singer/songwriter who has been a regular performer on both the London and Nashville Acoustic scene since 1999. Born in Dublin on 6th June 1973 and raised in Lancashire, Edwina's beautifully crafted songs and mesmerising stage presence have led her to some of the UK's finest stages including The Royal Albert Hall in London and The Usher Hall, Edinburgh. Dividing her time between the UK and America, Edwina's second home is Nashville where she is much loved on the Songwriting circuit and has been a regular performer at The Bluebird Cafe, 12th & Porter, Brown's Diner and the (much missed) Sherlock Holmes on Elliston Place. In March 2003 Edwina signed as a writer with Warner Chappell. Her influences include Ray Charles, Carole King, Van Morrison, Nanci Griffith, Richard Thompson, Patty Griffin and Bob Dylan, and one of her dreams is to be the opening act on Bob Dylan's Never-Ending Tour. As well as writing on her own, Edwina enjoys co-writing with her friends such as Carissa Broadwater and Malcolm Darwen and has also co-written songs with writers that range from UK writers Boo Hewerdine (Patience of Angels - Eddi Reader) and Ricky Ross (High - James Blunt) to Nashville writers Don Rollins (It's Five O Clock Somewhere - Alan Jackson/Jimmy Buffet) and Bobby Wood (Talkin' In Your Sleep - Crystal Gayle).
Also in 2005 Edwina toured the UK for the first time with some fantastic artists including; Jools Holland, Van Morrison, Nanci Griffith, Ricky Ross, Loudon Wainwright III and Daniel Beddingfield. 2006 will see Edwina record her 2nd album and continue her songwriting and gigging.
