Uniting In 2006, Ajda the Turkish Queen was working as a solo musician, composing songs on mandolin, guitar, banjo, and keys, and a cappella melodies. Ajda decided to give the full band approach another go-round, and subsequently met up with Tony Savarino, a masterful guitar player consistently in demand around Boston due to his versatility, love of boutique gear, and attention to detail. The two bonded over a love for PJ Harvey's albums, samurai culture, and physical fitness - all three of which center around personal strength.
